COMPANY PROFILE

QSi, LLC, Quantum Silicones, is a manufacturer of custom designed silicone elastomeric products.

QSi was founded in 1997 in Richmond, VA by its current principals, Tom Loman and Phil McDermott.  Both Phil and Tom have a lengthy background in the silicone industry.

Tom held several management positions with GE Silicones in sales and marketing. Phil initiated his career at the GE Research & Development Center and then transferred to GE Silicones as an elastomer chemist specializing in two component silicone elastomers.

The Richmond manufacturing facility utilizes the latest in silicone compounding equipment. The seven person technology team has a fully equipped laboratory for development and testing.

In mid 1999, QSi formed a joint venture with Amber Chemical Company (ACC) located in the United Kingdom.  Amber owns several international companies, including two European silicone manufacturers: ACC Silicones, located in Bridgwater, England; and Treco in Milan, Italy.

A partnership with a world class company like ACC and its affiliates gives QSi immediate product line expansion, market opportunities in Europe and a very strong technology partner.
